Forgiveness is not a one time occurrence. Every morning I must make a choice. You must make a choice.
Know that forgiving does not excuse the other person's behaviour, nor does it mean you condone what they did. Forgiveness sets you free. I get lost in the music. The only time I can (mostly) forget about my problems. The outside world means nothing when you are surrounded by beautiful music. It takes me away to a place where I don't have to worry about tomorrow. I am suspended in time.
Does it ever go away. The sinking feeling. The nausea. The dread. Even on good days I am reminded of it. Even when things are going right, things are going wrong. The mind is a beautiful thing - yet it can destroy you from the inside. Thoughts never cease. Never.
